I’m Julia Pilote, owner of Pilote Design Concepts, and I have been an interior designer for more than 20 years. In 1993, I graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s of Science in Interior Design. Before graduation day, I was offered a job by my co-op employer, a hospitality design firm in Boston. Working there, I was responsible for projects involving all aspects of design, purchasing, and project management. Projects ranged from retro-fitting sprinklers into a 100-year-old building to renovating guest rooms, and from lobbies to exterior sidewalks & marquee.

In 1998, with a wide variety of experience and several side-clients, I decided to take a chance and started Pilote Design Concepts. Now, 20 years later, I am busier than ever designing for repeat and new customers alike.

I am the proud mother of two amazing children and the wife of a very supportive and loving husband. My family and faith keep me focused on what matters in life. I have an amazing network of friends, and I try each day to enjoy them to the fullest. I am a consummate party planner who loves to host or plan just about any social gathering. It is only natural for me to design spaces for people to gather and enjoy food and laughter, and to celebrate life’s amazing moments.
